My wife and I live practically at the base of the new Tokyo Sky Tree Tower, and I have been taking shots of it from the first few weeks of construction. It's been exciting, sometimes even a bit scary, to watch as it goes up (especially since it actually roars during typhoons!)
I try to take pictures at "semi-regular" intervals, depending on the discernible progress, and if there are certain lighting or weather conditions that just beg for a new photo to be taken.
It may not become the tallest structure in the world, but at least Eiko and I can make the Guinness World Records' "world's tallest doormat" claim...!
In early months these efforts went sporadically by email to friends and family but by popular demand :) I am dedicating this new blogspot to following the new tower's progress, and will share it worldwide. I will post the URLs of the best related websites as well. However, I have noticed that most are only about the tower's construction, whereas there is a dearth of sites that see the tower as a fabulous, ever-changing photo subject -- that is, as Tokyo's most gorgeous and ever-changing "model."
So please come back regularly.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do taking them.

PS
If you click on any photo it will show much larger. Some are pretty spectacular, especially after my new Nikon D90 arrived!
